Despite the heavy rain showers and the jammed streets in the Metro on a Friday evening of June 8, 12 models strutted on the runway for the momentous fusion of elements of two brands—local and global—BUM and Pepsi’s collaborative fashion show dubbed as ‘#BUMxPepsi Capsule Collection’ held at TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City.
It is the first-ever tie-up between a global brand and a retail clothing line.
The models walked along the Combi music (EDM and recent tracks) provided by DJ Therese.
During the event, fashion and entertainment personalities came to grace the momentous event; the likes of BUM youth endorsers and Kapuso artists—Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, and Jazz Ocampo; the JBK Band members—Joshua Camacho Bulot, Bryan Doronila del Rosario, and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio; TV presenter, online influencer- lifestyle blogger and host of Chinoy TV on ANC (ABS-CBN News Channel)—Janeena Chan; MOR 101.9’s DJ Jhaiho; and Kapamilya star—Andrea Brillantes.
Apart from the celebrities, fashion and lifestyle media from both traditional print, TV and online were also in attendance to witness the unveiling of both brands’ identifiable elements like the colors red, white and blue. Its designs are inspired from the vintage and Retro look of Pepsi as executed in the designs of t-shirts, hoodies, jogger pants, shorts, caps, shorts and bags.
Nathan Luke Atienza, BUM’s VP for Marketing and Finance said, “The BUMxPepsi collaboration promises to be a beautiful collision of adventurous creations that would surely suit the discriminating taste of today’s generation. The capsule collection will reflect BUM’s core silhouettes and trendy looks with Pepsi youthful appeal.
“It will be available in all our boutiques and leading department stores nationwide.”
The fashion show was hosted by KA Antonio.
